We have all heard the stories of people that have quit right before they would have turned the corner and missed out on personal and professional success. This is especially true in Network Marketing, where because the cost of starting a business is low, quitting doesn’t seem so painful.
In reality, if you are going to invest 100K or more in a franchise, you are going to do whatever it takes to make it successful. Most franchisors tell you it will take you 2-3 years to make your money back and even more for higher priced franchises. Yet, people that get involved in our industry have an opportunity to have much greater success than franchise owners at a mere fraction of the cost of owning a franchise….and you are not restricted to a geographic area of 20,000 households or so.
With all the potential upside of owning your own business through network marketing, why do people quit. The price of failing is not very high and most people do not treat it like a business. As soon as they run into obstacles, they don’t do the things they need to do to be successful and they do not persevere.
To reach what you deem success will rarely be simple and easy. But before we talk about what it takes to get there, we first need to understand what success actually is. Arthur Ashe, that great tennis star of the past once said, ”Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome.” This is particularly true of the two characteristic we are speaking about. Success is always a result of action.
Having a consistent action habit will invariably on it’s very own begin to propel you toward success. Consistency is a principle and it not only deals with action but also with what you think and what you say. It must be congruent in all areas of your life.
Perseverance on the other hand is come hell, high water or come what may, you are going to continue on the chosen path. Almost every great accomplishment came through consistent perseverance. It is overcoming all obstacles against whatever stands in your way.. It is that tenacious spirit that will never give up right to the end. It is this concept of persistence that we all admire. We have all heard the stories of Edison, Lincoln, Disney and even Colonel Sanders.
They achieved incredible success through perseverance.
So here are some suggestions to help you in your path to that which you deem as “success”:
Winston Churchill said it so eloquently in a convocation address… NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP. Even when things seem impossible and all odds are stacked up against you, never quit or give up. There will most certainly be bumps in the road and you will continually be faced with challenges. Seek new ways to meet these challenges head on.
Change your perspective on the negative issues that crop up in your life. Look for the positive in each situation you encounter. Surround yourself with people that encourage this type of perspective and exemplify it in their own daily lives. Hang around people who will build you up rather than tear you down. This truly will help you become more consistent and persistent.
Become a person how take fully responsibility for his/her life. When you take responsibility and no longer blame others for your lack of success, you will find it to become easier to embed that consistent and perseverance nature into your own life. Blamers are always victims. Being a victim robs you of power in your life.
Perseverance and Consistency will bring a new found strength and empowerment to your life. It will begin to help you think correctly, speak correctly and act correctly while attracting like minded people into your life.

They are enthusiastic, coachable, smart, funny, credible, appreciative and gutsy. The millennials—the first generation to come of age in the 21st century—are also known as Generation Y, or simply Gen Y, because they follow on the heels of Generation X. Whatever you call them, they now comprise the entire 18- to 32-year-old young professional demographic.
This group is easily the most important marketing concern to come along in decades, and by 2017 their spending is expected to surpass that of the boomers. As Jason Dorsey, The Gen Y Guy® speaker and consultant, points out concerning his generation, “We are the opportunity!”
Entrepreneurs tend to emerge more from the ranks of the young than from those who are older, and with good reason. There’s all that vim and vigor of youth. They typically don’t have much wealth, and many haven’t yet started their families. That means most of them don’t have much to lose, and even if they do, so what? They have the rest of their lives ahead of them.
Generation Y’s streak of entrepreneurial tendencies runs even wider and deeper than that of previous generations. The relative peace and prosperity of the economic times in which they were raised has allowed education and technology to flourish. Rather than their parents having to struggle to survive, as was the case for several of the previous generations, Gen Y has been raised in households that, by and large, have been afforded the opportunity to thrive.
So how has Gen Y been generating its own employment? Freelancing or contract work has appealed to some, allowing them to be in control of their own work schedule. Gen Yers have also started new businesses at a much higher rate than that of any previous generation. And why not? Their entrepreneurial tendencies are strong, and with brains in their heads and their parents still paying for the shoes on their feet, they have the confidence to strike out on their own. This last Tuesday was Election Day across many parts of the country, so it was fitting, I suppose, that I had a conversation that day with an industry blogger about the DSAPAC. I contacted this self-described industry observer because one of his recent video posts had so misunderstood our Association’s political action committee. It struck me that most people are probably terribly uninformed, or worse—misinformed—about political action committees in general, and DSA’s specifically. Perhaps a little bit of accurate information would help… Read On

Year after year, if you plan on earning a living in this world, most people have to worry about paying tax on their income.
But for many of us, that’s only really the tip of the iceberg as far as tax goes, and things get more complicated still if we run a business.
For many, even those with seemingly simple accounting requirements, this means a trip down to the local accountant, some patience and then a phonecall letting you know everything has been taken care of.
At a cost of course.
Seeking to capitalize on the accounting industry, Prepay CPA seek to provide their members with a prepaid alternative to the traditional model of the accounting industry.
Oh, and did I mention they’ve decided to combine it with a MLM compensation plan too? Read on for a full review of the PrePayCPA business opportunity. Read The Full Review…
Updated December 30th, 2011 – David Track’s Official Response To Behind MLM Review:
“Mr. Speaker, I rise today to draw members’ attention to an industry that touches the
lives of many of our constituents: direct selling. Direct selling provides flexible and
convenient earnings and opportunities for over 900,000 of our constituents, 91% of
whom are women. Direct selling in Canada generates $2.2 billion in sales, almost $800
million in personal income and contributes almost $1 billion in taxes.
Direct selling companies give back to their communities, contributing almost $8 million
in charitable causes and that does not include the millions in contributions that individual
direct sellers make every year.
I encourage members to learn more about this dynamic and important industry at a
reception this evening with the Direct Sellers Association of Canada at the Government
