Kauri and Jenny Thompson are known for their high level of ethics and love for the network marketing profession. Kauri has enjoyed high levels of success both in the field and at a corporate level; while Jenny is well known as a second generation networker, who was one of the first 16 people to join XanGo and help create one of the fastest growing direct selling companies in the 21 Century.
I have known of Kauri & Jenny Thompson for years, but it was not until June of last year, when we all came together to discus the launch of Ocean Avenue that I was given the privilege of becoming their friend. Very quickly we all realized we shared some of the same core values, both on a personal and business level.
I will never forget walking into the original cracker box offices of Ocean Avenue, and having Kauri share with passion what he felt the company needed at its core foundation, if it was to go from just a conceptional thought, to a legacy company.

From “It Works” merging with Vitamark, to the merger between BodHB and bHip Global we are seeing some small to mid-size network marketing companies forging strategic partnerships to provide a stronger combined foundation for their network marketing field force. But…
In the case of the Flaherty’s Travis & Summer, they did not feel the merger was the direction they wanted to go. Now this is not the first time, this has happened to Travis and Summer, so this time they were not as surprised as years past, but at the same time it does take the wind out of you!
Travis Flaherty is known as an expert strategist in the area of helping MLM start-up companies build their brand by attracting and growing a solid team.
I know Travis & Summer both believe in helping people create freedom in their lives, and wherever they go, this mission will still be their main focus.
And FREEDOM is something their whole family enjoys!
Here is his words on why after Ray Grimm and Terry LaCore announced the merger of their two companies Travis and Summer Flaherty decided it was time to resign and look for a new home.
I personally wish both companies the best in this new combined merger, but all founders and CEOs should remember to consult and explain why they are changing the direction of their respective companies before just doing it.
It is not that founders do not have the right to do as they see fit. But, when field leaders are not consulted, then the new combined company could very well lose their best assets overnight!
I also wish the best for Travis and Summer in searching for a new home, and find it a privilege to be a part of that process as the journalist who will break the story.
Travis & Summer’s Open Letter To The Legacy Nation!
I can truly say over the past 18 months the ‘high definition’ relationships Summer and I have established with each of you have made a tremendous impact on our hearts. A quote that comes to mind is; “Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same.” ~Uknown
As many of you know, over the past month Bodhd has announced a new direction with a company acquisition to Bhip Global. And while this opportunity presents an exciting opportunity for some, we are confident this merger is not the ‘right direction’ for Summer and I. We have come to the crystal clear realization – what we fell in love with 18 months ago, with Bodhd, is no longer present today.
Regretfully, I submit to you that Monday, August 27, 2012 will be my last day as the top field leader for Bodhd. Moving forward I will no longer be providing consulting services to Bodhd and or Bhip.
I want to assure you that I have no intentions to persuade people that Bhip is the ‘wrong choice’. It’s simply not the right choice for Summer and I. We also want to be respectful to everyone in this group and give you ‘the choice’ to delete yourself BEFORE we announce our new direction for Legacy. (We will be making this announcement on Friday, August 31st within this group.) For those of you who will be continuing on with this merger we wish you vast amounts of happiness and success, and hope we will stay in contact and remain friends.
We pray that in some small way we’ve had as much of an impact on your lives as you have made on ours! We will remain forever grateful for the opportunity we had to work with you and will never forget our brief moment living in ‘high definition’. Thank you for the wonderful memories.
MLM Watchdog Rod Cook just realeased the following MLM update: NBC DOING A NATIONAL EXPOSE ON HOT AIR BALLON DEATHS
So they came to the world’s leading expert on tracking and exposing the dangers of hot air balloons. Marcie was electrocued 10 years ago when a hot air ballon she was in crashed into high voltage power lines. She has been harrassing politicians and the FAA to tighten up rules on hot air ballon accidents. http://www.hotairballoonaccidents.com/
TAKE OFF IS OPTIONAL LANDING IS MANDTORY! LESSONS TO BE LEARNED ABOUT HOT AIR BALLOON RIDE ACCIDENTS
1. Any personal injury lawyer will tell the you the silly waiver of injury that you sign before your hot air balloon ride is worthless — if the “balloon driver” (I won’t dignify them with the word pilot) screws up your ride and hurts you. Their insurance companies have them make you sign the waiver (if they have one) to fake you out of suing if you are hurt!
2. MAKE SURE THEY HAVE INSURANCE! Demand to see the hot air balloon operators Insurance liability policy before you get in the hot air balloon basket. It’s very simple! No insurance policy, get your money back. Better yet BEFORE YOU PAY demand to see their current liability insurance “binder.”
3. Why all of this? Did you know a helicopter evacuation costs at least $7000 plus fuel? What is the value of having a hole in the back of your eye? What about paying for the vacuum pump that goes on the big hole in your leg to try to get it to heal? Hospitalization in a burn unit = cost? Your loss of being able to work?
I am proud to share about some of the coolest guys and gals in Network Marketing. Although, some of these folks have years of success, each of them hold two things in common – First they have all gone through emotional and financial hardships along the way. Second, none of them ever gave up on the profession of Network Marketing. Even when they had company troubles, upline issues, or just plain got tired, they never gave up!
I had the privilege of meeting these wonderful women at the Real Savvy Success Women’s Empowerment Conference in Orlando. What stood out to me, was how intently they listened as other successful leaders were talking. These two ladies are leaders who are always looking to grow.

Christina, reached out to me a few months ago to arraign for me to meet the founder of Nuriche, and as we got to know each other, I was able to observe what I call a Proverbs 31 women. Although her life is never fully balanced she is able to prioritize what is most important and take care of herself, family and her team.

Nothing great is ever accomplished alone and no one person is that good. The entire Shaklee team is to be commended for the work they do every day. The independent, entrepreneurial spirit that gave birth to America is the same force that drives our team. I am honored to work alongside the men and women of The Pinnacle Group everyday as we build something very special together.”
As a member of The Pinnacle Group’s Executive Board, and among the top achievers in each of these categories, Marcia Norfleet echoes Bo’s sentiments, “This is all about a team of people working together to do something significant. Greg & Jennifer just celebrated their 25th anniversary and Greg’s 50th birthday. Of the 50 years Greg has been alive I have known him 35 of those. I have watched these two start the Network Marketing career with me in Primerica and watched as they out grew me, and went on to follow successful leaders like Randy Gage and others.
When, medical issues hit them this year, they turned to the Lord first, and Advocare second. Greg came through his brain surgery and recovery period, and Jenn will be the first to tell you, it was prayer and the Advocare products which helped.
They are not at the top of the compensation plan, leading a giant team, or what we would call financially independent. What they are, is what their great profession is all about. People who found the right company, are building the right team, and who know they are living their passion. And I am proud to call them my best friends!!!
