Numis Network Review: Are The Numis Coins And Numis Executive Success System Overpriced

Numis Network has taken the direct selling industry by storm over the last few months has three very well respected leaders Ian Cordell, Chris Kent and Jake Kevorkian came together to launch a new category in MLM.

In this article I want to cover two common concerns we have seen coming up over and over again…

Numis Network coins are overpriced, and Numis Network Fast Track Starter Kit is overpriced.

It took close to nine hours of research to see if these concerns were valid or not.

Let’s take a look at the Numis coins. Without a doubt people can find coins for less and for more depending on where they look.

However, one of the largest competitors of Numis Network First Federal is now advertising two of the same coins for more money.

The $5 Gold Eagle is selling on sale at 1st Federal Coin for $299.00 .vs the same $5 Gold Eagle at Shop Numis for $239.95. This is a $60.00 savings at Numis Network and they are paying out a commission.

The second coin is the MS70 $1 Silver Eagle advertised by First Federal Coin Corporation for $149.00, while the same coin is sold at Shop Numis retail for $119.95. This is a $30.00 dollar savings, and again Numis is paying a commission.

Yes, I know the coins can be bought for less at eBay or some other site. But, of course I bet if I wanted to dig a little deeper, I could also find every other product or service solid through a direct selling aka Network Marketing company at a cheaper prices also.

But ask yourself this question – Are you selling your current MLM product or service based on price, or are you selling a life changing business opportunity?

What’s the difference between what you are doing and what Numis Network is doing?

Now before I get into the Numis Executive Success System, I want to give you a taste of what first time Network Marketing distributors are saying about their first experience in the MLM profession.

Ok, now let’s look at the second concern folks have raised on the $495.00 fee charged to join Numis Network at the top level. Is this amount an inflated fee or are the products and services provided within the Numis Fast Track Starter Kit worth the cost?

Well, the reality is, some folks will think this is far to much to pay to join any MLM business, while others will see this are a very small fee for joining a category creating company with a ground floor opportunity.

Here is what I have concluded…

The same kit sells all day long at Shop Numis for $325.00. So if we add in the additional business services provided to the Numis Network distributors, I believe it is a very fair price point. However, I do understand that certain services such as the training videos and the websites may be seen by different people as priceless while others will see them as worthless.

Ok, here is my breakdown.

Aluminum Attache’ Coin Case – Value – $ 65.00 (I found prices from $65 to $79 dollars on the web)
MS70 Silver Eagle – Value – $100.00 (Retail cost is $119.00 on Shop Numis)
Leather Numis Portfolio – Value – $50.00 (I found this same style of portfolio on the net from $50.00 to over $75.00)
Numis 5 Distributors Websites – Value – $125.00 (This is a one time fee, with a monthly fee of $9.95)
Coins Are Cool Training – Value – $125.00 (I priced this at $25 per video and Numis adds one video per month)

Although, I can’t announce it here, Numis will also be adding a very power addition to this Fast Start Kit in the next month or so, which will increase the retail value by at least another $100.00.

So, when you look at the above total fair market value (my subjective deduction) then the total is $465.00. By the way this also includes shipping and handling fees.

Some reading this may feel that since Ian and Chris own IDSTC that Numis must have a special deal and the technology isn’t costing them anything. This is not true. International Direct Selling Technology Corporation is a completely different company, and Numis Network has signed a client agreement just like all other clients of ISDTC.

I called Ian today to ask him what it would cost for the average Network Marketing company would pay for the same type of technology services Numis is paying for from ISDTC, and here is an average cost…

$40K to $50 for the original development costs.
$7.00 per month per distributor

The media costs would depend on how detailed the videos become, but overall Ian Cordell figured by this stage of the development, and size of the company the average client the size of Numis Network will have invested between $140,000 and $150,000 dollars just in technology costs.

So although some will not agree with this article, I can say with complete conviction that if I were collecting coins as a hobby, and found Numis Network, and knew I could turn my hobby into a business for a small upfront cost of $495.00, then hands down I would pay the fee.

Just the first years tax advantages would offset the $495.00 for the Numis Executive Success System.

  2. Steve,

I am not sure of your point here. I have been very descriptive on the grading of the coins at Numis. Which by the way is the same method of grading used by all coin companies.

If you could be a little more specific on exactly what you feel I have wrong.

I understand what you are stating, and do not dispute it. However, Numis does not grade their own coins, they are sent to the industries top grading organizations.

  3. Troy,

When coins are manufactured(unless they are proof coins), they are put in rolls then the rolls are put in bags which invariably are tossed on trucks or in vaults. Do you honestly believe that any coin could remain perfect under these conditions? ALL coins produced under these conditions have at least small nicks, rub, blemishes, etc……

  5. That was a great presentation on Numis Network. I have just recently joined Numis, and have not finished my websites to promote Numis. I think the price aspect of starting Numis may be an obstacle for some. I got in when the price was lower, but paying $500 to start a business, that gives you value every month and is a tax write-off is a very low price.

Is there a way I can use this video on one of my websites? For legality reasons, I need your permission.

I want to thank you for increasing my spirit on MLM and Numis Network.

  6. Steve,

Thank you for stopping by and adding some solid input from a different view.

I do have a question. Are you saying that the grading services Numis is using to do the grading are doing something illegal or fraudulent? Since all the coins come graded by a 3rd party grader, it seems these agencies are either doing something wrong, or Numis is lying about the MS70. Can you help us understand?

Can you explain what you mean by mass market. Numis is a small company, but since this is a new niche the term may mean something different.

Again, thank you for sharing this is some good stuff to investigate.

  7. I have years of experience in the numismatic industry and can tell you that I would stay clear of Numis Network. In order for a coin to be MS70 it has to be perfect. If there is such a coin (I have personally never seen one even though others have assigned coins this elusive grade), they are so scarce that you could not mass market them like this company is doing. What they are selling are nice but overpriced coins. This company is making a fortune off of public ignorance.

  8. Tricia,

Thank you for commenting, as always you bring up great points of thought. .

We do need to remember that inside the compensation plan there is the Executive Success System which includes everything a person needs to build a real coin collecting business. Although I did break down the "fair market" value I do understand my deduction can be subjective.

However, unlike most companies, Numis can easily show the fair market value of the Executive Success System, because they are including both tangible items as well as services (websites). Since IDSTC has been in business and is currently serving over 100 other MLM businesses it is easy to show the fair market value of the websites included in the Executive Success System.

I fully agree, ALL distributors in ALL companies should ask the question… "Am I willing to pay for my starter kit, and autoship, if there is no compensation plan?" This is a great benchmart to see if people are in the right business period.

Although, like all private MLM companies Numis did not disclose specific figures to me, both Jake and Ian made it perfectly clear, if the FTC were to ask this specific question, Numis would pass with flying colors. Although only time will tell, I have a feeling with these guys respect and success in helping other companies (some of which we both have been a part of) they have it covered, so they can keep their distributors safe.

Without breaking the trust of Numis leadership, I can print that just one of Numis strategic partnership outside of MLM has brought more customers to Numis than they have distributors as of this posting.

  9. The big question I have never heard answered is (this was Len Clements' question as well)- Are thousands of people buying it right now because they actually want it, and would have purchased it anyway even if there were no income opportunity, or are they buying these kits because they are part of the $495 package to be an Executive distributor?

If Numis gets investigated by the FTC, the big question will be what percentage are customers (not people who are distributors) but pure customers. Check the history of BurnLounge and learn why this is an important question. I have asked several Numis distributors this question and none have been able to give an answer.

  12. Troy,
First of all, thank you for being such a vigilant unbiased advocate to the Network Marketing arena. Your posts are thorough and insightful.

I have been involved in the industry for about 4 years and just recently joined Numis Network. You are spot on when you explained the cost to benefit ratio of Numis' product and opportunity. They have truly set a new standard.

We are "selling" an opportunity to change peoples lives through Network Marketing, irregardless of the product. I find that Numis Network provides the best value (an asset) compared to other companies products.

    Keep up the good work.

  13. Troy….Kudos for a thorough job with the first video in this series. I truly hope that you are intending on really digging into the perils and pitfalls of Numismatic coins. May I suggest a site for you to review…???

I personally believe that the information in this particular Silver industry blog post is worth reading because it gives a different perspective of the Numismatic industry. This is information that people should be reading so that they can make a good decision about purchasing these coins and it also covers some possibilities that could occur if the demand for silver goes through the roof …. which I believe will happen in the not too distant future !!!

Looking forward to the next videos in the series !! Well done !!!

Thank you for all that you do for this industry !!
