It has been written “MonaVie offers the most innovative and dynamic compensation plan in the direct selling industry. With 9 ways to earn income and 50% of the sales volume paid out in distributor commissions, MonaVie is a powerfully rewarding opportunity!

When I began to write this article, I was pleased to see MonaVie has included a 5 customer qualification which goes right along with their “direct sales” payout and their “top retail sales” bonus.

However… My concern is that MonaVie may not be enforcing this qualification or that the field is so focused on recruiting, they never talk about this qualification to their new reps.

With more and more companies leaving MLM behind, and other companies launching with questionable compensation plans, I do not want to see a company like MonaVie come under the scrutiny of the FTC or any other international regulatory authority because there are not enforcing this qualification.

One thing MonaVie has done, which I think every company over 12 months old should do is publish an Income Disclosure Statement! Although this one is a little over 9 months old, it does show where the money is being earned in the field.

Here is the part of the Income Disclosure Statement that caught my eye. According to the MonaVie 2009 Mid-Year Income Disclosure Statement there were 90,138 distributors ranked between MonaVie Distributor and MonaVie Star 1000 who were earning between $23 and $172 per week. Which puts their annual part-time income working 6 hours a week or less between $1214.00 and $8963.00. Not a lot of money for some, but a life changer for others.

It is this 90,000 people which brought up my concern. I do not want to see these folks lose their incomes, or the folks who have written us about the MonaVie family of Juices to not be able to get the juice when they need or want it.

SO, in closing I challenge the MonaVie and the MonaVie family to keep a close eye on the 5 customer qualification to make sure they are continuing to run a tight ship.

Living An Epic Adventure,

Troy

Thanks for mentioning my name. We are trying real hard to build this and we will! Wanna be my customer? I'll still sell it to you for wholesale lol.

      Howard,

I have watched the way you conduct yourself as a leader inside and outside of MonaVie, and you are a true servant leader my friend.

Great post Troy, this percentage is indicative of most MLM companies. I agree that an extra $8,000 can be beneficial for many families, but keep into consideration the expenses they incur monthly or yearly to maintain their check. If Monavie doesn't strengthen their customer acquisition, than they will continue to have a horrible attrition rate. They have done a good job so far, but the competition is heating up with the introduction of many similar juice based companies. Only time will tell !!!

No comparison to MonaVie at all. This company is blessed!

It's tough with the high autoships to develop that long lasting customer base… Retail sales is the key.

    • Howard March 22, 2010 at 1:56 am #

Autoship is key to building this because then the people are in the business. They are working on there goals. Retail sales can help, but most people don't want to retail. We want them in the business so we can help them obtain there goals their job won't do. If you have a place to retail it like a gym, spa, nail salon, cool then but to go out and find a customer to by this, is harder than getting them to dream about things their paycheck won't allow.

the reason your having a hard time is because you are not educating your customer base.

Troy what are you smoking or drinking? I know a little about Monivie. And know several distributors and several seasoned professionals and could not and cannot make the comp plan work.Monivie is great at marketing unbelievably good at it.

      Jerry,

I find your comment interesting to say the least. It really seems out of place based on the context of my article.

      1. I know seasoned professionals who have not made it at MonaVie, Primerica, Lightyear, XanGo and the list goes on and on. What does that have to do with the fact MonaVie or any other company should enforce their customer rules?

      2. Just because seasoned professional or a distributor can attract some great leaders i one company does not mean those leaders will follow them to another company.

      3. Just because a person does well in one type of compensation plan, does not mean they will do well in another.

      So, thank you for commenting.

Troy, Thank you very much for the comments and for believing in me. It means so much to me, that you do!

You are a MonaVie Rock Star, and if there is ever anything I can do to help, just say the word.

  6. Howard March 22, 2010 at 1:50 am #

They gave up to early like most people.

Congratulations on the weight loss Troy. Companies are falling like flies now and I believe that is because of a small customer base. I totally agree Troy that retail sales are the backbone. Unfortunately most distributors focus on recruiting because they feel it's the fastest way to wealth. As we saw with Arbonne…an unusual number of affiliates joining relative to customer base is a recipe for disaster.
