Two Million Dollars Refunded? To whom? I and my associate were scammed out of several Hundred Dollars not only from Liberty International but subsequently Liberty Freedom Network after trusting the management a second time. The original Cell Phone and service ordered and paid for through Liberty International was never received and the several requests for refund were completely ignored without explanation, not even a notice they had filed a “No Asset” Bankruptcy action.

In trying to be understanding with the hope that the new entity, Liberty Freedom Network would work out, we signed on again…with ultimately the same result. Expensive Cell Phones were ordered from the vendor, WOW MOBILE MALL that took over two months to receive allegedly “reprogrammed” to work with a certain platform and tethering to a laptop. The “reprogrammed” phones did not work with the platform, continuously dropped simple cell phone calls with a voice message breaking in that stated “there is no money in your account”. After investigation and inquiry, the voice message turned out to be from Page Plus whose representative stated they had never heard of LFN or Liberty Freedom Network and they were the service provider on behalf of Verizon Wireless. All of this despite money being taken by Global Freedom Phone, Inc. from two business checking accounts. Global Freedom Phone, Inc. was listed on the withdrawal authorization as a subsidiary of Liberty International…really? I thought they were in a Bankruptcy proceeding. How can a “No Asset” Company in Bankruptcy take money from a checking account through a subsidiary? Our automatic withdrawal agreement was with LFN only. After numerous attempts through the so-called “Customer Service Dept.” and being promised to have the technical staff call to resolve the issues with never a return call or attempt to address the problems, we gave up in frustration and cancelled our LFN Distributorships.

We have once again through emails and certified letters to all of the departments of Liberty Freedom Network requested and demanded a refund for the money taken from our respective business checking accounts for the services that were not delivered. Several weeks have now elapsed and we have had zero response. So, Mr. Jeffers, (who evaporated from the scene for several months)nothing has changed with you and the trust we put into Liberty Freedom Network which brings to the forefront that old saying…”Screw me once..shame on you..Screw me twice..shame on me!

      Mel,
You are wasting your time with all of the letters mailed to LFN. They will not answer. Your best bet is to go straight to your credit card bank and file a claim. Let the bank do battle with the LFN Idiots. You need to join the growing list of former IR’s who will take down Mr. Jeffers and put him behind bars!

  2. LFN is on the GO February 24, 2011 at 5:44 pm #

Troy all my down line have been compensated with product swaps and are moving forward happy…recruiting is building good right now, as people know Liberty pay very well in the comp plan and dont bill people accounts after 3 referals.

Liberty is the ONLY company where “the billing can stop”…the team love this feature…who wants debits to bank accounts of $120 mo every month for wireless mlm fee’s ?

Some who joined my team did charge backs and got their money back.

Others who did not stop their own autoships still got billed. Distributors its YOUR responsibility to sign in and manage your own autoship billing…start it, stop it change products…dont blame Liberty for your lack of knowledge on how to do this. Call a rep and I am sure they can help you navigate this.

Liberty have proven they are here to correct problems and help reps in building a business

The leaders have been there all they way, and I have received a paycheck every week without fail

Liberty is a better opportunity than ever…some dont like this.

Liberty will continue to grow bigger and stronger than before,

Liberty is not going away, and is run by very experienced management who have proven they can handle the worst of times. I am in this for the long haul and I feel VERY comfortable to see them handle hard times. Its give me confidence in the future a head.

    • Former LIberty IR March 5, 2011 at 9:36 pm #

      Troy,
I would like to know who posted this letter. Randy Jeffers scammed over 100 of my reps who bought in at the $499, purchased phones for $275 and received nothing. Did Randy tell you that his BK in the Oregon courts was stopped. Thanks to me and the several hundred complaint letters mail to the Oregon Attorney General. And that the Oregon Attorney General will soon take his case to the Federal level because of many other states are now involved.

Did he tell you he terminated several of the top leaders without cause, a certified letter, a phone call or reason so he didn’t have to pay the commissions he owed? After peeling back the onion on Mr. Jeffers, Liberty International is the 4th company he has destroyed along with all of the hard working innocent Reps that got flushed down the toilet. My home VoIP service was cut off with no warning. What if I had a life threatening emergency with one of my kids or wife? With no cell phone or home phone service, I could have been SOL. But, to you think Randy Jeffers cared?

How can this person say LFN is growing and is stronger than ever. The field Reps are down 80-85% from this time last year and there were only 34 checks cut on 3/2/11. Last year at this time over 3,500 checks were cut and mailed. There isn’t a merchant in the US that will touch his credit card processing.

Troy, I know you have to ‘ride the fence’ when it comes to certain people in this industry. What Randy Jeffers did was criminal and there are several people out here that won’t quit until Mr. Jeffers is behind bars so he doesn’t destroy anymore lives in this industry. He needs to be banned for life…after he serves his time of course.

I know you agree with me Troy. We should talk!

      • Troy March 6, 2011 at 10:54 pm #

        Former Liberty IR,

This is a great comment and brings up several questions and additional items I need.

        1. Is the reason the reps never received anything because they did not stay active? And have they charged-back their cards? It is my understanding over $2 million has been changed back and paid out.

        2. It is my understanding the BK is about to be discharged. Can you provide documentation to prove it has been stopped? I am not sure what the state AG has to do with a federal BK case. The complaints the AG would have received would be of a criminal natural and even a discharged BK would not keep an AG from filing criminal charges. Please provide documentation.

        3. I am not sure I fully understand why state or states criminal case would go to a federal level. I do understand both state and federal charges when warranted. But I have not heard of state AGs giving up their rights to fines to the feds willingly. Please provide more info so I can better understand. Please provide the documentation.

        4. I do know some top leaders have been terminated. I also know that inside of the P&Ps which the distributors have signed, it stated they can be terminated without cause. However, we do have a couple of great distributor focused attorneys who I am sure will listen to the distributors to see if they have a case.

        5. What four companies?

        6. I can see if you were terminated or quick, your VOIP service would be canceled. I assume you are one who was terminated without cause. I do understand about the life threatening issues. However, even when a cell phone is terned off, the 911 should still work.

        7. I understand where you are coming from on the growth statement. However, their was NO LFN last year at this time. You have to look at when LFN launched.

        8. What documentation do you have to show only 34 checks were cut. And if that is the case, then the company could truly be growing because they are not having to pay out commissions.

        9. I don’t ride the fence on certain people, period. What I do is try and give both sides of the issue, and then based on the documented facts share the truth shown by the facts and evidence.

        10. If what Randy has done is criminal then without a doubt a criminal court will be brought in and a jury will decide. I do think there may be some civil issues which might be proven, but in reviewing the evidence we have on hand a criminal case might be harder to prove. A civil case if won be the victims would provide more evidence for a criminal case.

Without a doubt, when anyone defrauds people, reps or consumers they head must be held accountable. Even when criminal or civil charges can’t be filed because there is not enough admissible evidence, I still believe these people should be held ethical responsible.

I open a conversation at anytime. Just give me a call.

  3. scammed by randy March 9, 2011 at 12:03 pm #

Clearly Randy Jeffers should be held accountable for his criminal actions. jeffers chooses to not refund monies he has dishonestly acquired through his deceitful actions.

Therefore, jeffers must be brought up on legal charges, hauled into court and required by law to refund everyone accordingly.

There are numerous posts with individuals venting frustrations with jeffers despicable chicanery.
Many inquire about class action lawsuits to join.
It seems as long as everyone continues fighting their battle alone, nothing will be accomplished.
It’s like firing a shotgun at a target 500 yards away, you ain’t gonna hit anything.

Would it make sense to have a central person or party to gather together information from the masses in order to organize and prepare for a class action lawsuit ?
Seems a high powered attorney would be more inclined to take on an organized group over a hodge-podge dis-organized bunch of frustrated folks they’d have to try and track down.

If anyone is prepared and able or knows of anyone prepared and able (is very organized, patient and has time to dedicate) post it here. That is, if Troy doesn’t mind,

A website or blog could be established allowing everyone scammed by randy to log in and be part of putting together a “smartbomb” to hurl in direction of getting refunded.

Everyone invloved with liberty international knows how to contact others that were scammed by randy. As word gets around every person affected can become aware of the group effort to be paid back money that is rightfully owed by randy jeffers.

All other modus aperandi could be better explored as the group with a common cause, ie: interview and selection of a high profile winning attorney, establish civil, class action suit(s) with possible criminal suit(s) to follow, etc…

    • Troy March 9, 2011 at 6:50 pm #

      Scammed by Randy,

I fully understand where you are coming from, and agree that if Randy has acted in any criminal manner or anyone who is affiliated with him for that matter. However, there are a few facts we need to remember.

      1. It has been purported that over $2 million in chargebacks have already been paid to both current and former distributors by the merchant services.

      2. Just because Randy is at the helm of the company doesn’t mean the courts will see any for of criminal or civil fraud. From day one this blog as well as others listed WOW Mobile as a high-risk venture. If folks joined the company without doing due diligence, then I am not sure a Court will see this as fraud. If you or anyone else truly has evidence of fraud, I would contact an attorney to find out your options.

      3. Your idea of a central point is wise. My suggestion would be to contact Kevin Thompson http://www.TheMLMAttorney.com and see if he believes there is grounds for a class action suite.

      4. As for creating a blog specifically to slam Randy or Liberty, I would walk careful on this one. The 9th circuit last year in Amway .vs Woodward made it clear those behind blogs slamming companies and/or people could be sued and held liable for slander and defamation.

If you proceed please keep us posted.

        Troy,
Slamming randy is not the intendt nor purpose behind establishing a central go-to for organizing a collective means in persuing refunds of monies taken in by randy jeffers et al.

The intent is simply to organize and explore all options available in order for everyone that randy jeffers owes refunds to collect their money – out of court would certainly be preferable.

Where is the proof that $2million has been refunded? – To whom? – just because it has been purported, don’t make it so?

Noone is reporting they were refunded.

Exactly who has been refunded and when?

How many reps followed instructions to contact customer service by email, and mailed in their refund requests, etc., etc., only to be totally neglected by liberty international, randy jeffers et al?

randy jeffers has contact information including social security numbers for every rep that ever sent him a dime. he knows who is owed and he knows how much he owes.

Reality is that he simply refuses to pay what he owes.

randy jeffers/ liberty international mis-represented cell phone service and cell phone equipment and his own ir distributor program by taking money for services and goods which were never provided.

If randy jeffers is such an upstanding businessman, why doesn’t he contact everyone he owes refunds and settle his debts?

Why doesn’t he respond to any inquiries and/or requests for refunds?

If there truely is some kind of product swap or refund going on, why doesn’t randy jeffers et al contact the people he owes and let them know about it?

What is the current status on randy jeffers / liberty international’s bankruptcy case?
If in case his bankruptcy case has been stopped, that can’t be good for randy, could it?

randy could stop a lot of negative publicity and even redeem himself somewhat by simply refunding everyone that he took monies from and failed or refused to deliver on his end of the deal.

If liberty freedom network or whatever it’s called now is truely an upstanding organization, wouldn’t it be advantageous for that company if people reported positively that randy jeffers came through and did the right thing, instead of all the negativity that exists against randy and liberty because he owes so many people that tried in good faith to do business with him and lost money instead of made money?

Isn’t making money the reason every ir signed on with liberty international in the first place?

          Scammed by Randy,

You make excellent points in this comment and did a great job of explaining where you are coming from. I’ll try and answer the questions you asked.

          1. The only proof I have on the $2 million is from Randy and the fact, merchant accounts froze funds to add to the reserve. When merchants freeze funds it is usually for one of two reasons. High charges or high chargebacks.

          2. I am not sure of all who have been refunded. We do have a few folks who have written here stating they received refunds. Chargebacks are not refunds, and I am not sure people would call them refunds.

Please keep me posted on the outcome of forming a structured front. I’ll gladly share the info publicly.

Veritas Aequitas is Latin for Truth & Justice.

This is an email account created to simply initiate establishing a group that can calmly and professionally go forward to develop, organize and administrate a plan to collectively persue being refunded what is rightfully owed as a result of becoming involved with Liberty International /Randy Jeffers.
This is not intended to receive negative emails or complaints.
Everyone knows the score here. – Any negative or bashing emails will be disregarded and deleted.
What is needed are level headed individuals that have the time, ability and patience to work together to communicate with all the other IR’s that are owed refunds, to try and communicate the austere seriousness with Mr. Jeffers to refund what is rightfully due accordingly.

Anyone who can accomplish the above goal is welcome to send an email to :

            LibertyVeritasAequitas@gmail.com.

There is no pay or compensation involved, other than possibly being refunded the amount owed you by Liberty International et al.

      Loyal LFN Rep,

Now this is fantastic news. Seems the field and the corporate office is working through last years ups and downs and have turned a corner. We are still watching things and I will be excited when all the old is gone and more of the field comes by to post and give their success stories.

      Keep rocking it forward.
