Breaking Wireless MLM News: Laptop Magazine rescinds Zer01 award! Where does this leave Global Verge and Buzzirk Wireless?
WOW! I have been called just about everything in the book by the folks at Global Verge corporate, and yet, here is one of the most well respected technology magazines doing something that is virtually unheard of.
In LAPTOP’s 18-year history, we’ve given out hundreds of awards, each chosen to educate our readers about best-in-class products with great potential to change their lives for the better. These awards range from our Editors’ Choice Award, which appears on reviews for our highest-rated products to special sections like our Best Notebooks of the Year to tradeshow awards like those we give at CTIA Wireless. We’re proud of the many innovative products we’ve highlighted, and we’ve never had to rescind an award, until now.
Effective immediately, we are rescinding the Best of CTIA Award given to Zer01 Mobile at April’s CTIA Wireless 2009. We’re taking this extraordinary step, because of serious ethical questions that have arisen about the company. Please post Triple Diamond call ASAP. Your site is the ONLY place I have been able to get any kind of real information. I am ‘Gold” about to be a “Diamond” but people are joining on the strength of my recomendation. If this is going to blow up, I need to cut the bleeding now. I was in corporate in EDT and ICC (before leaving), so my group has seen all the false hype and broken promises. Any light you can shine on the matter would be most appreciated.

Its sad, really.
If these guys would have not rushed to open the floodgates and worked towards a viable product/solution, then none of this would have happened.
What is really sad is I think they’ll get away with it legally. Sure, some might sue, but since the company has other products, I’m not sure if a product is considered enticement. The income claims that have been made could be….but not sure if a product will be the same.
Again, anyone looking at GV needs to ask themselves this:
1. If this technology is possible and allowed, why wouldn’t the major carriers go to it already? AT&T have plans for it, but those plans are down the road.
2. If this company knew they were about to launch, even if the technology was possible, why would they jump the gun instead of waiting for stockpiles of phones to be available?
I have my guesses on #2….#1 still leaves me scratching my head, especially since other companies are claiming the same technology. And I hope they’re right….but I’ll remain a skeptic.

It’s a shame that we still have people in this country that prey on others. Why can’t there be more legitimate companies that operate on character? Telcom is a huge industry and there’s more than enough out there for everyone. Even the greedy people. Companies like this is the reason why I created Inheritance Communications. Hi maybe you can do some updates on FDI since they are offering a very similar service. Instead of just targeting Global Verge all the time.

We are watching FDI, and have done a few posts. However, unlike Global Verge, FDI is a long standing company with massive success behind them. The corporate officers were wise enough not to publish anything on the services they are going to offer.
And unlike Global Verge, they are not focusing on just wireless, they are going to launch with several voip products.
Rest assured we will be watching and posting as the information is released at their upcoming conference.
I do have reservations with a financial service company adding communications. However, several of their top folks did come from Excel years ago.

Is a Chicago based company that is very small and getting started. They keep everything hidden, and you have to be invited by one of their Distributors.
I will contact Mr. Dudley tomorrow to find out more about their company.

I have owned the inheritancecc.com from its inception and just elected to utilize it with my GV biz. And yes, Troy, you are very right. “Paul” is very lucky he is not sued. The text of his latest email is enclosed
It is also indicative of the distributor income ‘situation’

Well, this pretty much puts the final nail in the coffin for me. I just talked to my buddy who is a NON TRIPLE DIAMOND Buzzirk rep and he already knew.
Petschel and Piilani are both scammers, con artists , liars and cheats.
If anyone has ANY NEWS about Zer01 that does not involve sims, phones and service, I could give a dead rat’s a**. Nothing else matters at this point.
As for the rest of the tens of thousands who put their money into this bulls***. Try to get your money back or write it off and consider it a lesson learned. I’m moving on.
