Breaking MLM News: MonaVie Black Diamond Darrell Utterbach Passed Away Doing What He Loved!

Darrell & Tracy Utterbach

Dear MonaVie Family,

It is with profound sadness that I communicate to you the passing of Darrell Utterbach, Royal Black Diamond distributor, MonaVie Distributor Advisory Board member, loving family man, and dear friend and colleague. Darrell passed away unexpectedly last night (MST) while conducting business in Seoul, Korea.

For more than two decades, Darrell has been a proponent of and respected voice for the entire Direct Selling Industry. Had it not been for Darrell visiting my home in 2004 and introducing me, Randy Larsen, and Henry Marsh to the acai berry, there likely wouldn’t be a MonaVie today. We owe him a great debt of gratitude.

On behalf of the entire MonaVie family, Karree and I offer our deepest condolences at this time of great loss to Tracy, Darrell’s beloved wife. His unexpected and sudden passing should be a reminder to each of us that life is precious, and that we should strive to live our lives with deeper meaning, each and every day. We are mindful of the Utterbachs’ distributor organization at this time as well, and pledge to them our continued support. On a housekeeping note, I would ask that we all please respect the privacy of the Utterbach family at this critical time.

I’d like to share with you a quote from Darrell’s own MonaVie Success Story, which I think speaks volumes about his mature perspective on life:

“MonaVie has changed my life and provided me with the freedom I’ve always wanted. The road to success with MonaVie has been incredible, and I celebrate the journey—not just the destination—because the journey is where the greatest personal development occurs.

Is it any wonder this good man achieved such personal and professional success?

Darrell, it is my humble belief that you may be looking upon us at this very moment and that you may even be reading this letter. I say to you, my good friend, that you have indeed completed your journey upon this earth, and I trust you have arrived Home to your supernal destination. We are better people for having known you, and miss you dearly. May the Good Lord attend to you with open arms.

God Bless,

Dallin A. Larsen
Founder, Chairman, CEO, and Friend of Darrell and Tracy Utterbach

  1. Shonie,

It is a family matter, not a public one.

Out of respect to the family, we are not posting anything on the specific reason.

I can tell you it had nothing to do with MonaVie.

  2. Does anybody know what happened to darren? if he was such a monvie connoiseur and monavie is so great for health, how did he die suddenly. it seems like cuase of his death is a 'big secret' that monavie makers dont want anybody to know. friend of mine posed this question ontheir website, and instead of answering, the comment was deleted from the website!! go figure!!!

  3. Hey Bud,

You're absolutely right __"Its not always about the money, but how we are as people." If only people would learn by observing the greats, living together and helping each other our world would be a better place for everyone. This is truly a sad occasion for one of Marketing's and Direct Sales greats and his family.

Our hearts and prayers are with Tracy and the family. Althought we didn't know them personally, both Darrell and Tracy were truly a great people who were always willing to help others. They instinctively knew what it would take to create the success for themselves and their family and friends.

You know, it's in the observation of life that we all fail to see the smallest things that in fact DO matter. Darrell and Tracy knew what mattered most to them. We all should be anxious to follow in their steps in finding what matters not only to us as individuals but to others in our world and lend a helping hand. Everyone gets down and out but if we as individuals strive to help them up out in their darkest hours, then everyone wins and everyone succeeds at something!

God Bless You Bud and Your Family!

  6. This is the very first time I ever heard of Darrell Utterbach. It is always sad to hear of anyone's passing. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and business partners with my condolences for their grief.

On a positive note, as a Royal Black Diamond, Darrell has created a legacy of residual income that will take care of his family for many years to come. Something all of us here in this community should strive to accomplish.

  7. Our Deepest Condolences to the Utterbach Family __

Our first experience in Mona'Vie was in August of 2007. Together with over 3,000 people we gathered at the Peabody Hotel in Orange County, Florida and had the most wonderful 2 days. We remember the Utterbach's and so many memories that we cherish from that time.

Our hearts and prayers go out to the Utterbach family and Tracy. May God watch over you, give you comfort and peace in knowing that your beloved Darrell has reached a destination like no other and now begins a new and peaceful journey.

God Bless You Utterbach Family & Tracy.
