Breaking MLM News: Matt Mason Is Back And The Seacret Is Out!

DS Edge Feb 2015

About a year ago Matt Mason contacted me with a serious situation he was facing. After a couple of months of trying to work through all he was facing he decided the best thing to do was to go public with the issues he was facing and share in his own words why he was backing out of Network Marketing for a while. (Click here to listen to that interview.)

Through out the last 12 months, Matt and I have connected several times. We have crossed paths at companies he was interviewing, shared dinner with some fantastic network marketing leaders, and talked about his and Anna’s future in Network Marketing.

Every now and then I would call and ask if he had found anyone he could follow, or he would call and ask if I have stumbled across any leaders he should meet. Then a few weeks ago, I got the call I was waiting for… He had found a leader who walked the walk. Someone he felt he could follow, with a company that had a real story, and truly wanted to change the world and make it a better place.

Now, don’t get me wrong, you’ll know I love and respect many founders of some fantastic companies. However, this is a people business, and each of us must find the right fit, or we will not succeed. Matt & Anna Mason have found that leader!

  1. Great interview Troy. And for me, Matt’s story really hit home. I walked away from MLM over six years ago and went back in the Army. I’ve since retired and am now back here in Afghanistan as a defense contractor, and am in the process of getting back into MLM in a desire to walk away from this contracting life and be back home with my family. Even though it’s not really Matt’s story, what really hit home was I walked away from a six-figure income but felt like I was compromising my values and ethics and treating people like a paycheck. I also found myself running (not promoting, but actually running) programs where I worried that one day I’d have men in suits knocking on my door. Many of the people that I ran with “back in the day” are now running some of the biggest programs on the net – most of which they hope stay under the feds radar. I won’t list names but I will say that there is absolutely no way that I would associate my good name (one I nearly ruined over six years ago) with these kinds of programs. These six years gave me a lot of time to do some soul searching and I never thought that I’d ever get back into the industry. Listening to Matt’s story is exactly what I needed to hear. We need to hear these stories to ensure that we keep our moral compasses always pointing in the right direction, and I’m happy that Matt found a new home. Thank you for your website and your great content. The decision to become a member of your site was immediate and a proverbial “no brainer”.

    Thanks,
