Beachside CEO

Well, that is the professional stuff they told me we need to add to the bio. Now let me tell you a little of my story. 🙂

I am a former Marine, and Ex-Bounty Hunter, who grew up in and around the direct sales profession. I have gone from a part-time distributor, to a full-time MLM Pro, to company executive to company owner in the last 30 years.

I was born and raised in Missouri, with my roots going deep into Southern Heritage. I married my high school sweetheart, who has blessed me with six children ranging in age from 29 to 9 (That’s what happens when you marry a best-selling romance writer.)

In 1995 Paige and I decided we wanted live at the beach… it took a few years and several challenges before we saw this dream come true and I would like to share a little about what we went through to get where we are today.

After 13 years part-time with A.L. Williams aka Primerica, I left to help launch the second wave of World Marketing Alliance (WMA). By 1997 we had moved to WMA, (World Marketing Alliance) and started growing our business to a point where we were soon ranked in the top 10% of monthly income earners a few times during those years. However, due to a medical situation that was diagnosed with one of our daughters, and my own mismanagement of our income, we soon saw our expenses growing faster than our income.

By 1999 we were bankrupt. However, Tessa (our daughter) had received pediatric kidney surgery by one of the most respected pediatric kidney surgeons in the US. And although, it cost us financially, we would do it all again to give her the opportunities she has today.

See, during the years when she had her kidney issue she could not swim, take baths or be submerged in any type of water. For a young girl whose biggest dream in life was to swim with Dolphins this was devastating.

However, by the end of 1999 everything was behind us. In March of 2000 we relocated to the Panhandle of Florida, and have never looked back. As a matter of fact in July of 2000 Tessa had her dream come true. We have taken the day to rent a boat and go out to Dolphin Island so she could see the Dolphins. However, because of a pending storm the Dolphins were not swimming. She was a little frustrated.

With my father-in-law driving the boat back, I sat with Tessa on the back of the boat. Out of the water a Dolphin jumped up and laid its head in her lap. You talk about a happy, yet scared little girl (Dolphins are BIG up close) it was her. In a flash her disappointment turned to an ecstatic joy. That was a turning point in our family. It was truly when we realized ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!

In 2009 I retired from actively building a network marketing field organization after facilitating the growth of the largest organization in INVISUS Direct. Today the company is known as INVISUS ans serves both families and businesses with their cyber-security needs. In 2009, INVISUS decided to move from a network marketing channel to a more traditional direct selling channel.

Currently my passions lay in helping distributors find their niche and build their own personal brand, developing into servant leaders across the home business community.

I also work closely with Network Marketing (Direct Selling) companies to build their brand from the ground up, or in relaunching what they already have built. I also focus heavy on helping companies and distributors balance the conversation on the net, so that all the facts are present.

Paige has gone on to write dozens of romances, with four reaching the best sellers list, and her current book due out this fall under the Harlequin Romance label.

My life is an open book and you will find that like most people who enter our profession, I was not born with all the answers. Maybe because I was young, or maybe because I had a big EGO in the beginning, it took years for me to finally get it right.

Now my passion is to help others discover their true passion. So if I can ever be of service please feel free to contact me personally.

  1. Hello Troy, only want to tell you that the issue with my account is solved. It’s working now!Thank you very much!Have a nice weekend!

  2. had a lady call and tell me that mpb was a scam that

Gary had been sued twice and Fl. rated him a F and Wal-mart has stated they have nothing to do with this Co. could you commit. Just started and will not give it up but would like to be able to have a answer for people if it happens again.

    Troy's Response:

Thank you for reaching out. I would not call MPBToday a scam at all. I will say the compensation plan has me concerned because I do believe it has a few flaws which could raise red flags with regulatory agencies. But, Gary has run it by his attorney and they feel it will be fine, so as the founder of the company I assume he knows best.

Gary has been in the profession a long time and sometimes he has done well, and sometimes things have gone south. The same happens to distributors on a daily basis. I am sure based on the fact Gary has been in the people business he has been sued more than once over the years.

And since he is based in Florida and the AG down here runs a tight ship, I am sure he has gone before the AG's office more than once to defend some action. I can say based on our investigation, Gary has never been found guilty of any crime.

I am not sure what you mean by "Fl. rated him and F." If you are referring to the BBB, they are a joke. If you pay a membership fee with them, then you get a great rating, if you don't pay, you never get a good rating. They are not what they use to be.

MPBToday is NOT affiliated with Walmart at all. They do use Walmart gift cards as well as some others I believe. Which makes good sense to me, since Walmart is an international corporation.

Gary has attracted some great leaders, and he is willing to listen to those leaders, and his counsel to make sure they are doing everything to be successful and to help their distributors be successful.

MPBToday is not the type of company I would join, and I can't tell you it will be around long term. But, I do believe Gary loves his company and distributors.
